Water Soluble Carbohydrate (WSC) £40 per sample

  • Analyses levels of sugar and fructans within a forage sample 
  • Necessary for assessing suitability of forage for those requiring a low sugar forage.
  •  Results within working 10 days

Comprehensive Nutrient Analysis £90 per sample

  • Results within 2 working weeks
  • Uses wet chemistry techniques which can be more accurate than NIRS
  • Analysis includes: protein, fibre, carbohydrates, moisture, dry matter, digestible energy, crude protein, estimated lysine, acid detergent fibre, neutral detergent fibre, Ethanol Soluble Carbohydrates (ESC), Water Soluble Carbohydrates (WSC), starch and non fibre carbohydrates (NFC).
  • Useful for clinical issues such as tying up, laminitis and performance and breeding stock.

Mineral Analysis £75 per sample

  • Results within 2 working weeks 
  • Uses accurate wet chemistry analysis
  • Includes: Calcium, Copper, Cobalt, Magnesium, Zinc, Sulphur, Phosphorous, Selenium, Molybdenum, Sodium, Manganese, Aluminium, Potassium, Iron, Lead, Chloride, Iodine
  • Does NOT include basic nutrients – for this order either the Basic or Comprehensive Nutrient analysis

Hygiene £35 per sample

  • Yeast and Mould 
  • Results within 2 weeks 
  • Useful for assessing whether a forage is suitable for performance horses and useful justification for those considering steaming.
